版主：現在我也在擬課程大綱，網站上無意間看到開設有關西方醫學史的課程，目前搜索到 劉士永 老師，PO上來做為代表。還有像身體史(陽明、王文基)、世界醫學史(長庚、張淑卿)等相關課程，大家可以上學校網站去看(如果有學友看見好的課程，也歡迎貼過來)。看看前輩的課程大綱，其實也是一種學習。就像某老師說的，國內的史研所都在培養研究人才，但其實教學才是歷史系畢業生最重要的一塊專業領域(現實狀況是：畢竟不是每個人都要進、能進研究機構)，但很多史研所都忽略了這一訓練。
國防醫學院通識教育中心 必（選）修科目課程簡介
課目名稱：西洋醫學史 (History of Western Medicine)
授課老師：劉士永 學 分 數：2 學分（選修）
一、課程目標：
儘管生老病死是人類普遍的共同經驗，但人們面對這些情況時，
卻會因文化、社會等時空條件不同而有所差異。本課程將以講述和討
論為主軸，析探西方醫學從希臘羅馬的古典時代以迄今日的發展，特
別著重於19-20 世紀西方醫學經驗裡的受難與療癒現象。
本課程將研討以下幾個主題：醫學理論與治療間的關係、醫療操
作者與機構的角色變遷，以及醫學科學的影響，和公衛技術在人口健
康及社會福利上的意義。此外，本課程亦將討論病因學(etiology)
的演變、健康照護系統的轉型、與公衛及醫療相關之政策演進。在讀
本與閱讀資料的選擇時，盡力兼顧醫療專業者與病人間的平衡，並旁
徵相應的時空條件變化。為深化學生對現代醫學歷史的了解與感受，
本課程會引導學生進行主題討論，並要求學生深入閱讀參考資料。
