「科技史料與詮釋：問題與探討」國際研討會

緣起：

研究科技史的歷史學者使用的材料包括出版的（書、文章）及未出版的（檔案資料、信件）書面資料，以及圖像資料（地圖、圖表）；較不常見的尚包括科學儀器、工具、武器以及其他的手工製品。因此，調查各種不同種類資料的使用方法，找出這些方法存在的問題與解答至關重要。

為了慶祝清華大學創校100週年暨在台建校55週年，清華大學通識教育中心、清華大學人文社會與研究中心與清華大學研究發展處一同主辦「科技史料與詮釋：問題與探討」國際研討會。

The materials used by the historians of science and technology include published (books, articles) and unpublished (archival documents, correspondence) textual materials, as well as visual materials (maps, diagrams), and, less frequently, scientific instruments, technical tools, weapons, and other artifacts. It appears important to investigate the approaches to the source materials of different types, to formulate the most vital problems and discuss their possible solutions.

The Center of General Education, the Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Research and Development Office of the National Tsing-Hua University organize an International Conference “Source Materials in History of Science and Technology and Their Interpretation: Problems and Approaches” devoted to the 100th anniversary of Tsing-Hua University and the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the National Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu.
